Penfield Recreation has been proudly serving the Penfield community since 1956. Our director is Chris Bilow.
Our mission: To enhance the quality of life for the residents of Penfield by providing a variety of beneficial recreation and wellness programs, facilities and services.
We are located in the Penfield Community Center at 1985 Baird Rd., along with Penfield Public Library.
Office hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
Applications are continuously accepted for the following positions: School-year Lifeguards/WSI, Program Specialist and volunteers. Applications are available at the Recreation office.
Penfield Community Center
Meeting rooms and kitchen area are available to Penfield community non-profit groups and organizations on a permit, space available basis. Hours: Mon-Thur, 8:00 am - 10:00 pm; Fri, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm; Sat, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; and Sun, 2:00 -5:00 pm. Warning: vehicle parking violations at the NYS Police facilities near the Justice Courts at the Community Center will be ticketed and towed.

The program is funded by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services through the Rochester-Monroe County Youth Bureau.
The Penfield Recreation department continues to maintain its commitment to quality and excellent service for our residents through involvement and membership in the Genesee Valley Recreation & Parks Society, NYS Recreation & Parks Society and National Recreation & Parks Association.
